Lagos, Nigeria — ThinkMint Nigeria has successfully staged the second edition of its groundbreaking real estate theatre experience, House Mattaz, to a fully occupied audience of over 150 attendees at Sheraton Lagos Hotel Ikeja.

The highly anticipated House Mattaz Episode 2 delivered more than just entertainment. It created a powerful platform for industry dialogue, policy reflection, and public education on the realities of property ownership in Nigeria.

Blending theatre with real estate insight, the production once again brought together top Nollywood actors, government officials, real estate professionals, policymakers, and corporate stakeholders, all engaging in critical conversations that extended beyond the stage.

A Story That Mirrors Reality

Titled “The Inheritance,” Episode 2 explored the deeply emotional and often overlooked consequences of property fraud, family betrayal, and greed.

The story follows Mide, a UK returnee determined to fulfil her late mother’s dream of building an event centre on family land—only to discover that the property documents are forged and the land legally belongs to someone else. What unfolds is a powerful confrontation with a system where victims are often left unprotected.

The performance resonated strongly with the audience, sparking visible reactions, conversations, and reflections on the real-life implications of poor documentation and unchecked transactions in Nigeria’s property market.

Industry Leaders Weigh In

The event featured notable stakeholders who shared insights on the state of real estate in Lagos and Nigeria at large.

Adeniyi Aromolaran, Executive Director, Enterprise Services, Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC), advised investors to approach property acquisition with caution:

“There should never be a rush to buy property. Take your time, carry out proper verification, and work with legitimate organisations to avoid costly mistakes.”

He further endorsed Thinkmint Nigeria as a reliable real estate company and a long-standing partner with LSCDPC

Similarly, Engr. Oluwole Sotire, Permanent Secretary, Office of Physical Planning and Urban Development, emphasized the importance of due diligence:

“One of the most common mistakes people make in real estate is neglecting proper documentation. Verification is not optional—it is essential.”

These discussions reinforced the play’s central message and highlighted the urgent need for transparency, education, and structure within the real estate sector.

A Vision Beyond Entertainment

Speaking on the impact of the event, the CEO of ThinkMint Nigeria/ Europe, Mrs Imelda Usoro Olaoye, highlighted the role of creativity in shaping industry narratives:

“House Mattaz is proof that storytelling can drive meaningful conversations. By combining theatre with real estate, we are not just entertaining—we are educating, informing, and influencing how people approach property decisions.”

A Cultural and Industry Milestone

With a full audience, strong engagement, and active participation from both public and private sector leaders, House Mattaz Episode 2 further cements its position as a pioneering platform at the intersection of theatre and real estate in Nigeria.

Attendees described the experience as eye-opening, engaging, and highly relevant, particularly in a market where misinformation and poor advice often lead to financial loss.
